Our anti-haemorrhoidal brands have proved to be effective in the treatment of haemorrhoidals or Piles in countries we operate. We have been successful in combining our strength in suppository manufacturing with our segment-leadership in antimalarial treatment through its offering in Artesunate suppositories. This unique formulation has been effective in containing the rapid spread of malaria within the human body, which is a frequent cause of death in malaria-prone regions. This is particularly the case in rural areas where access to clinics is limited. A WHO-study has validated the use of Artesunate suppositories as a pre-referral treatment mechanism to prevent death in malaria cases (http://www.who.int/tdr/news/2010/rectal-artesunate-bmj-award/en/). Our Gsunate brand of Artesunate suppositories is already available in a number of African countries and it is our mission to make it available in all malaria-prone regions. We follow European GMP Standards for manufacturing suppositories. Our manufacturing plants are certified to be cGMP compliant by local and international standards: EU GMP, WHO GMP, OHSAS-18001 : 2007 and ISO-14001 : 2004.
